About the album

Recorded just days after U.F.O.F. and out five months later, Two Hands was recorded largely live at Sonic Ranch near El Paso, capturing Adrianne Lenker, Buck Meek, Max Oleartchik and James Krivchenia playing in the room together.

"Not" builds into a wild, cathartic guitar solo, "Forgotten Eyes" is warm and empathetic, "Shoulders" and "Those Girls" are raw and urgent, and "Wolf" and "Cut My Hair" are hushed and lovely.

Big Thief at their most immediate, recorded mostly live in the desert. Two hands, one take.
