About the album

Every so often a single arrives so big it needs an album built around it in a hurry. "Beautiful Things" came out in January 2024 and promptly took over the world; by April, Benson Boone had a 15-track debut ready to show what else he could do.

Quite a lot, as it turns out. "Slow It Down" is an aching, piano-driven ballad, "In the Stars" and "Ghost Town" bring back his earlier fan-pleasers, and "Cry," "There She Goes" and "What Do You Want" lean into the big, theatrical vocals that became his calling card, while "Friend," "Love of Mine" and "Hello Love" fill out the record. AllMusic's Marcy Donelson heard the whole thing as theatrical, rock-injected, arena-ready pop. The album came out on Night Street and Warner Records, with a tour across North America, Europe, the UK and Australia right behind it.

It topped the chart in Norway and went top five in New Zealand. Boone sings each chorus like it's the last one he'll ever be allowed, and frankly we're not going to be the ones to tell him otherwise.
