About the album

Ashnikko made Smoochies all over the map, at The Sanctuary in London, studio23 in Hollywood and House Mouse Studios in Stockholm, among others. The American rapper and singer's second album arrived on October 17, 2025, through Parlophone and Warner Records, and it plays as a bright, cheeky run of alt-pop with hooks to spare at every turn.

"Smoochie Girl" opens the record and sets the tone, "Trinkets" and "Itty Bitty" lean into sugary, earworm pop, and Swedish artist COBRAH joins on the Side B opener. "I Want My Boyfriends To Kiss" borrows from "Kakhuri" by the Georgian folk trio Trio Mandili, a left turn that suits her well. "Liquid," "Chichinya" and "Full Frontal" carry Side A along, "She's So Pretty" closes it on a sweet, sly hook, and "Microplastics," "Lip Smacker" and "Baby Teeth" keep the energy high through to the closing "It Girl."

It's a playful, colourful record from an artist who has never been shy about a big look. The title promises affection, and to be fair it delivers; we've caught at least one staff member blowing kisses at the turntable.
