Both film soundtracks finally share one home: a 4LP slipcase with the iconic W logo in pink and green, plus an exclusive double-sided movie poster. Wicked: The Soundtrack debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, went platinum and put seven songs on the Hot 100.
Universal Pictures split Stephen Schwartz's musical into two films, and the soundtracks follow Cynthia Erivo's Elphaba and Ariana Grande's Glinda from Shiz University to the end of their friendship. Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum and Ethan Slater fill out the cast.
The first two discs run from "No One Mourns The Wicked" through "Popular" to "Defying Gravity"; the second pair carries Wicked: For Good, with "No Place Like Home," "No Good Deed" and the closing duet "For Good."
Wicked: The Soundtrack earned a Grammy nomination for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media; together, the two films tell the whole story across eight sides.
The slipcase is built to hold the whole saga in one place on the shelf.
"The performances by the leads almost guarantee a return audience."
