This indie exclusive spreads the album over two gold LPs for Black Friday. Busta Rhymes built it from the more than 300 beats J Dilla left him, with the blessing of Dilla's mother, Ma Dukes, who opens and closes it. This Woman pairs them with the late D'Angelo.
Busta Rhymes and J Dilla first worked together in the 1990s on Busta's debut, The Coming, and Dilla went on to supply beats for six of Busta's first seven solo albums. After Dilla died in 2006, Busta guarded the vault, handing only one beat to Raekwon before he began this LP. The first Dillagence, a mixtape hosted by DJ Mick Boogie, came out a year after Dilla's death.
Nineteen tracks run for an hour. Big Sean and Honey Bxby join on Wait 4 U; Ludacris and Anderson .Paak share Kingpin (Knock Ya Head Off); Common and Jon Batiste turn up on What We Got In Common, and Lil Wayne lands his first verse over a Dilla beat on Talk Ya Shit. Royalty, the emotional centre, brings in Ma Dukes alongside Busta's children, CIE and Trillian.
