About the album

Dean and Gene Ween headed to Nashville and limited themselves to one genre for the only time in their career, cutting ten songs (despite the title) with top-flight session musicians on pedal steel, fiddle and piano.

"Japanese Cowboy" is pure goofy joy, "Powder Blue" and "You Were the Fool" are genuinely lovely country weepers, and "I'm Holding You" is a sweet opener. This deluxe edition adds demos and extra songs from the sessions.
