About the album

Chris Stapleton spent years writing hits for other people in Nashville and singing in the bluegrass band the SteelDrivers before stepping out on his own. Traveller, recorded live-off-the-floor at RCA Studio A with producer Dave Cobb, is old-school country, Southern rock and soul all at once, led by one of the greatest voices in modern music.

"Tennessee Whiskey" (made famous by George Jones) is jaw-dropping, "Fire Away" and "Parachute" are instant classics, "Nobody to Blame" and "Whiskey and You" are pure heartfelt country, and the title track was written on a road trip across the desert. Wife Morgane Stapleton's harmonies are all over it.
