![Van Halen: Van Halen [WARNER]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/33149608/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-van-halen-van-halen-warner.jpg)
Van Halen's explosive 1978 debut, one of the greatest debut albums in rock: "Eruption," "Runnin' with the Devil," "Ain't Talkin' 'bout Love" and "Jamie's Cryin'."
Van Halen's debut sold over 10 million copies and changed rock guitar forever, thanks to Eddie Van Halen's jaw-dropping tapping showcase "Eruption."
Produced by Ted Templeman, the album captures the band's live energy almost untouched, with Eddie's fireworks, David Lee Roth's swaggering showmanship and the tight rhythm section of Michael Anthony and Alex Van Halen.
"Runnin' with the Devil" struts, "Eruption" is a breathtaking solo, their take on the Kinks' "You Really Got Me" roars, "Ain't Talkin' 'bout Love" is a riff for the ages, and "Jamie's Cryin'" is catchy fun.
Captured almost exactly as it sounded live. The volume knob will not be left alone for long.
