About the album

The Interrupters are three Bivona brothers and a singer they met on tour. Kevin, Jesse and Justin crossed paths with Aimee Allen in 2009 while their old band Telacasters was supporting The Dirty Heads and Sugar Ray, and by 2011 Aimee and Kevin were writing songs together, with the twins on drums and bass. Before their first album was even out, they'd toured with Rancid and the Transplants and played Riot Fest.

Tim Armstrong produced again, and Say It Out Loud is all skanking upstrokes, gang vocals and Aimee's ringing, raspy voice, from the opener "By My Side" through "She Got Arrested," "Babylon" and "Divide Us" to the closer "Loyal." Years on the road with The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish and The English Beat show in how tight the songs are, and "Phantom City" and "Media Sensation" hit with real punk urgency.

They spent the summer of 2016 on the entire Vans Warped Tour, then set out on their first US headlining run with Bad Cop Bad Cop. The title was advice, and they took it.
