![The Cranberries: MTV Unplugged [ISLAND / UME]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/73201519/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-the-cranberries-mtv-unplugged-island-ume.jpg)
First official vinyl of the Cranberries' 1995 MTV Unplugged performance at the Brooklyn Academy of Music: "Linger," "Zombie," "Ode to My Family" and "Dreaming My Dreams."
The Cranberries' MTV Unplugged set was recorded on Valentine's Day 1995 in Brooklyn at the height of their fame, and it finally came out officially in 2025. Dolores O'Riordan's voice has never sounded more intimate.
On February 14, 1995, riding high on No Need to Argue, the Cranberries played MTV Unplugged at the Howard Gilman Opera House at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Stripped back to acoustic guitars and strings, the songs took on a new, haunting beauty, and fans have treasured bootlegs of the broadcast for decades.
This official edition is a treat: "Linger" and "Ode to My Family" are achingly lovely, "Zombie" loses none of its power without the distortion, and the set includes a gorgeous cover of Jack Clement's "Dreaming My Dreams" and "I'm Still Remembering." A beautiful snapshot of a great band at their peak.
