About the album

Chris Cornell wrote these songs as a tribute to his friend and roommate Andrew Wood of Mother Love Bone, and recorded them with Stone Gossard, Jeff Ament, Mike McCready and Matt Cameron, plus a newly arrived singer named Eddie Vedder. Within a year, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden would be household names.

"Hunger Strike" is a stirring, iconic duet, "Say Hello 2 Heaven" is soaring and heartfelt, "Reach Down" is an 11-minute guitar showcase for McCready, and "Pushin Forward Back" and "Call Me a Dog" are powerful highlights.
