About the album

Chris Cornell wrote these songs in honour of his friend and roommate Andrew Wood, the larger-than-life singer of Mother Love Bone, and recorded them with Wood's bandmates Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament, plus Mike McCready, Soundgarden's Matt Cameron and a newcomer from San Diego named Eddie Vedder.

"Hunger Strike," with Cornell and Vedder trading lines, became one of the great duets in rock, "Say Hello 2 Heaven" and "Reach Down" are huge and heartfelt, and "Call Me a Dog" and "All Night Thing" show off Cornell's astonishing voice. A loving, soulful celebration of friendship.
