![Sufjan Stevens: Javelin [ASTHMATIC KITTY]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/60112652/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-sufjan-stevens-javelin-asthmatic-kitty.jpg)
Sufjan Stevens' acclaimed 2023 album Javelin: "So You Are Tired," "Will Anybody Ever Love Me?," "A Running Start" and "Goodbye Evergreen."
Javelin is Sufjan Stevens at his most tender and luminous, a widely acclaimed set of songs about love and loss that stands with his finest work.
Combining the gentle banjo and acoustic intimacy of Carrie & Lowell with the lush choirs and electronic swells of his grander work, Stevens builds songs that begin in a whisper and bloom into overwhelming beauty.
"Goodbye Evergreen" erupts from hush to glorious noise, "So You Are Tired" is heartbreakingly lovely, "Will Anybody Ever Love Me?" is a hymn-like plea, and his closing cover of Neil Young's "There's a World" is graceful.
A javelin, thrown straight to the heart.
