![Soundgarden: Badmotorfinger (2016 edition) [A&M]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/34135615/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-soundgarden-badmotorfinger-2016-edition.jpg)
Soundgarden's 1991 heavy grunge classic Badmotorfinger: "Rusty Cage," "Outshined," "Jesus Christ Pose" and "Room a Thousand Years Wide." 2016 edition.
Badmotorfinger earned Soundgarden a Grammy nomination, went platinum and helped bring Seattle's heavy sound to the world. Johnny Cash later covered "Rusty Cage."
Soundgarden's third album, and their first with bassist Ben Shepherd, sharpened their mix of heavy metal power, punk energy and psychedelic weirdness, all driven by Kim Thayil's twisting riffs and Chris Cornell's astonishing voice.
"Rusty Cage" races out of the gate, "Outshined" has one of the great grunge riffs, "Jesus Christ Pose" is a ferocious stomp, and "Room a Thousand Years Wide" and "Searching with My Good Eye Closed" show off the band's love of odd time signatures.
