Slint's legendary 1991 album Spiderland on 180-gram vinyl, the blueprint for post-rock: "Breadcrumb Trail," "Nosferatu Man," "Washer" and "Good Morning, Captain."
Spiderland is one of the most influential underground rock albums ever made, a touchstone for post-rock and math rock bands from Mogwai to Godspeed You! Black Emperor.
Louisville's Slint (Brian McMahan, David Pajo, Todd Brashear and Britt Walford) recorded Spiderland with Brian Paulson in just a few days, crafting six long, slow-building pieces that move from hushed, spoken passages and intricate guitar patterns to towering bursts of noise.
"Breadcrumb Trail" is a tense, thrilling opener, "Nosferatu Man" is angular and heavy, "Washer" is hauntingly beautiful, and "Good Morning, Captain" builds to one of the most cathartic climaxes in rock.
