About the album

There are greatest-hits albums, and then there's this one. Queen's Greatest Hits first arrived in 1981 and became the best-selling album in UK history, a record that seemingly every household in Britain owns. Hollywood Records' North American edition gathers the big ones on 2LP: "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Another One Bites the Dust," "Killer Queen," "Fat Bottomed Girls," "Bicycle Race," "You're My Best Friend," "Don't Stop Me Now," "Somebody to Love" and the stadium-shaking double of "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions."

It's a reminder of just how many styles Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon could pull off: operatic rock, disco-funk, rockabilly, gospel and glam, all with that unmistakable four-part harmony and May's home-made guitar. If you need one Queen record, it's this. If you already have it, someone you know doesn't.
