PinkPantheress: To Hell with It [PARLOPHONE]

Why you'll love it

This edition

• Single LP, 10 tracks
• Parlophone pressing of the 2021 mixtape
• Includes "Pain", "Break It Off" and "Just for Me"

About the album

In early 2021, an anonymous young producer started posting tiny, catchy snippets of songs to TikTok, built on sped-up samples of 2000s UK garage and drum'n'bass, with breathy, diaristic vocals floating over the top. "Pain" and "Break It Off" went viral almost overnight, and PinkPantheress was signed to Parlophone and Elektra before most of her new fans even knew what she looked like.

To Hell with It collects those early songs into an 18-minute mixtape that feels like scrolling through a teenager's camera roll: nostalgic, bittersweet and impossibly catchy. Mura Masa, Adam F and Oscar Scheller lend a hand, "Passion" and "Just for Me" are tiny perfect pop songs, and the whole thing set the template for her Mercury-shortlisted follow-up, Fancy That.
