This is the opaque red pressing. Fancy That went to No. 3 in the UK, made the 2025 Mercury Prize shortlist and earned two Grammy nominations, including Best Dance/Electronic Album.
PinkPantheress turned bedroom-made, sped-up snippets of UK garage and drum'n'bass into a whole new kind of pop star, and Fancy That is the record where she sounds most fully in control. She calls it the "most tied together project" of her career: nine songs in about 20 minutes, every one of them a little sugar rush of breakbeats, sampled hooks and her own breathy, deadpan voice.
She co-produced it with a small crew that includes the Dare and Oscar Scheller, and it zips between Y2K club nostalgia and something fresher and stranger. "Illegal" and "Tonight" are the bangers, "Girl Like Me" is the earworm. Short, sweet and impossible to play just once.
