![Paul McCartney & Wings: Band on the Run [CAPITOL / MPL]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/33149115/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-paul-mccartney-wings-band-on-the-run-cap.jpg)
Paul McCartney & Wings' 1973 classic Band on the Run, recorded in Lagos: "Band on the Run," "Jet," "Let Me Roll It" and "Bluebird."
Band on the Run is Paul McCartney's finest post-Beatles album, a Grammy winner that topped the charts in the US and UK.
Paul, Linda McCartney and Denny Laine recorded much of Band on the Run as a trio in Lagos, Nigeria, overcoming plenty of challenges to make a bright, adventurous, hook-packed rock and pop record.
The title track is a brilliant multi-part epic, "Jet" roars with energy, "Let Me Roll It" is a bluesy, swaggering gem, "Bluebird" is soft and lovely, and "Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five" is a thrilling, piano-pounding finale.
Paul McCartney's finest post-Beatles album. The band, very much on the run.
