About the album

After a spring in Rishikesh, India, John, Paul, George and Ringo came home with dozens of songs and poured them into a sprawling, adventurous double album wrapped in a plain white sleeve. Folk, hard rock, ska, music hall, blues, avant-garde sound collage: it's all here.

"Back in the U.S.S.R.," "Dear Prudence," "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" (with Eric Clapton), "Blackbird," "Julia," "Helter Skelter" and "Happiness Is a Warm Gun" are just a few of the highlights. The 2018 mix makes it sound fresher than ever.
