About the album

Niall Horan wrote the title track of his fourth album after meeting his long-time girlfriend for the first time at, yes, a friend's dinner party, and the whole record carries that warm, candlelit glow. He's cited Irish songwriter Damien Rice as a particular influence this time around, and you can hear it in the unhurried acoustic textures and the way the big pop hooks arrive gently rather than all at once.

The closer, "End of an Era," was rewritten after the passing of his former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne, and Horan now calls it a tribute to their friendship. It's a lovely, grown-up full stop on an album that keeps proving the quiet one from the boy band had the most durable songwriting chops of the lot.
