About the album

Produced by Rich Costey across London, Milan, New York and the south of France, the album widened Muse's sound with funk, electronic pulses, Italian western drama and Depeche Mode-style synths alongside Matt Bellamy's soaring falsetto.

"Starlight" is a euphoric singalong, "Supermassive Black Hole" struts with a funky, fuzzy groove, "Map of the Problematique" thunders, and "Knights of Cydonia" is a thrilling, horse-riding space-rock finale.

Equal parts space opera and spaghetti western. Headphones recommended; horse optional.
