![Milky Chance: Sadnecessary [UNIVERSAL]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/38008614/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-milky-chance-sadnecessary-universal.jpg)
Milky Chance's breezy 2013 debut Sadnecessary from the German duo: "Stolen Dance," "Down by the River," "Flashed Junk Mind" and the title track.
Sadnecessary spread worldwide on the strength of "Stolen Dance," a laid-back, hand-made hit that blends folk guitar with mellow electronic beats.
Clemens Rehbein and Philipp Dausch made the album in a home studio in Kassel, mixing acoustic guitar, reggae lilts, harmonica and minimal beats under Rehbein's raspy, soulful voice.
"Stolen Dance" is a gently addictive groove, "Down by the River" bounces with harmonica, "Flashed Junk Mind" is catchy and sunny, and the title track is warm and wistful.
"Stolen Dance" spread worldwide. Necessary, not sad at all.
