About the album

HIStory came out in 1995 as a double album: one disc of greatest hits and one of brand new songs, called HIStory Continues. This set gathers the new material on its own, and it's Michael at his most ambitious, combining slick new jack swing, rock guitars, orchestral grandeur and hard-hitting beats with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and Dallas Austin among the producers.

"Scream" is a blistering duet with his sister Janet, "You Are Not Alone" made chart history, "Earth Song" is a huge environmental anthem, "They Don't Care About Us" stomps, and "Stranger in Moscow" is one of his most haunting ballads. There's even a cover of the Beatles' "Come Together" and a sweet take on Charlie Chaplin's "Smile."
