About the album

Number Ones does exactly what it says on the tin. First assembled in 2003, it gathers the songs that topped the charts somewhere in the world across Michael Jackson's solo career, from the disco shimmer of "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" and "Rock with You" to the Thriller juggernaut ("Billie Jean," "Beat It" and the title track) and on through Bad, Dangerous and beyond.

It's a pretty staggering run when you see it all laid out on four sides: "The Way You Make Me Feel," "Smooth Criminal," "Black or White," "You Are Not Alone," "Earth Song." Throw this on at a party and watch nobody sit down for 75 minutes.
