About the album

You'd think everybody already had a copy of Rumours by now, and yet here we are, restocking it again. Recorded in California in 1976 while the band's two couples (John and Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks) were coming apart at the seams, it's the ultimate breakup album made by people who still had to sit in the same room every day, and somehow it came out sounding like sunshine.

Produced by the band with Ken Caillat and Richard Dashut, Rumours is an embarrassment of riches: Nicks' "Dreams" and "Gold Dust Woman," Buckingham's "Go Your Own Way" and "Never Going Back Again," Christine McVie's "Songbird" and "Don't Stop," and "The Chain," the one song all five of them wrote together. It topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic, took home the Grammy for Album of the Year and has never really stopped selling. This light blue pressing just makes it look as good as it sounds.
