About the album

Dua Lipa set out to make the kind of record she loved as a kid, and ended up making the one a lot of us leaned on in 2020. Future Nostalgia came out at the end of March that year, a week early after it leaked, and turned a lot of kitchens into dance floors when nobody could go anywhere else.

She built it with Jeff Bhasker, Ian Kirkpatrick, Stuart Price, the Monsters & Strangerz and Koz, mixing disco strings, French-house bounce and 80s synth-pop. "Don't Start Now" reached No. 2 in the UK and the US, "Physical" and "Break My Heart" went top ten at home, and "Levitating" became a full-blown phenomenon. The Moonlight Edition, on the first three sides here, adds "We're Good," "Fever" and "Prisoner." Sides D to F are Club Future Nostalgia, The Blessed Madonna's mix with Mark Ronson, Kaytranada, Moodymann, Masters at Work, Jayda G, Yaeji and Mr Fingers.

It topped the charts in fifteen countries and earned her a first Mercury Prize nomination. Five years on, this set finally lets you take the album and its club twin out together, which is roughly how most good evenings go anyway.
