![DJ Shadow: Endtroducing..... (2LP 30th Anniversary Edition) [MO WAX / PIAS]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/77208352/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-dj-shadow-endtroducing-2lp-30th-annivers.jpg)
DJ Shadow's groundbreaking 1996 debut Endtroducing....., 30th anniversary edition on 2LP: "Midnight in a Perfect World," "Building Steam with a Grain of Salt" and "Organ Donor."
Endtroducing..... is a landmark of instrumental hip hop, built almost entirely from samples of old records, and it changed what sampling could be.
Working for two years with an Akai MPC60 and a vast collection of forgotten vinyl, Josh Davis wove jazz, soul, rock, film scores and hip hop breaks into a moody, cinematic and deeply soulful album.
"Building Steam with a Grain of Salt" is hauntingly beautiful, "The Number Song" bangs, "Midnight in a Perfect World" floats on melancholy, and "Organ Donor" is a thrilling burst of organ and beats.
A landmark of instrumental hip-hop, built entirely from samples. Thirty years on, still introducing.
