Jungle's fifth album, Sunshine, and the first with Lydia Kitto as a full member: "Carry On," "The Wave," "Someday, Somewhere" and the title track.
Sunshine went Top 5 in the UK and keeps Jungle's string of perfect summer records going: falsetto hooks, strings and groove after groove, with "Romeo II" featuring Bas.
Jungle have spent more than a decade perfecting one very specific feeling: the moment the sun comes out, the windows go down and a song with a huge falsetto hook comes on. Sunshine is the band's fifth album, and the first since longtime collaborator Lydia Kitto officially joined Josh Lloyd and Tom McFarland.
Kitto's voice is all over the record and it's a terrific fit, sliding in alongside the band's trademark sweet harmonies, disco strings and loose, rolling breakbeats. "Carry On" and "The Wave" came out first and set the tone, "Romeo II" brings in Bas for a verse, and the title track might be the brightest thing they've ever done. It's 32 minutes long, which means you can flip it and play it again before dinner.
