Derek and the Dominos' 1970 double album Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, Eric Clapton with Duane Allman: "Layla," "Bell Bottom Blues" and "Key to the Highway."
Layla is often regarded as Eric Clapton's greatest achievement, and the title track, with Duane Allman's searing slide guitar and its gorgeous piano coda, is one of rock's most famous songs.
Eric Clapton formed Derek and the Dominos with Bobby Whitlock, Carl Radle and Jim Gordon, and with Duane Allman joining on slide guitar, the band recorded a soulful, blues-soaked double album packed with dazzling guitar interplay.
"Layla" is an all-time classic, "Bell Bottom Blues" is aching and beautiful, "Key to the Highway" is a loose, fiery blues jam, "Tell the Truth" burns, and their cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing" is stunning.
