About the album

Def Leppard have always had a talent for sounding bigger than the room they're in. This collection boils four decades of arena anthems down to ten songs on one LP, which takes a certain amount of discipline from a band famous for stacking its choruses sky-high.

Side one opens with "Pour Some Sugar On Me" and "Hysteria," the twin peaks of the Mutt Lange-produced Hysteria era, then jumps back to "Photograph" from Pyromania before "Love Bites" and "Animal" bring it home. Side two kicks off with the stomping "Rock Of Ages," adds the big ballad "When Love And Hate Collide," first recorded for the 1995 Vault collection, and digs back to High 'n' Dry for "Bringin' On The Heartbreak" before "Foolin'" and "Armageddon It" wrap up. Joe Elliott, Phil Collen, Rick Savage and Rick Allen are joined across the years by Steve Clark, Pete Willis and Vivian Campbell.

The Sheffield band once played three acoustic shows on three continents in a single day, a feat that landed them in the Guinness Book of World Records. Our own record is two stores in one afternoon, and we were quite tired.
