Creed's first career-spanning collection on vinyl: "Higher," "My Own Prison," "With Arms Wide Open," "My Sacrifice" and "One Last Breath."
This Craft Recordings LP gathers ten singles from all four Creed albums, using the radio edits and single versions that ruled rock radio. It reached No. 4 on Billboard's Hard Rock Albums chart when it arrived in 2025.
Whatever you were doing in 1999, there's a fair chance "Higher" was playing somewhere nearby. Creed came out of Tallahassee, Florida, with Scott Stapp's huge baritone and Mark Tremonti's chunky, ringing riffs, and for a few years they were about as big as American rock bands got.
The set runs across their whole story. "My Own Prison," "Torn" and "What's This Life For" come from the 1997 debut; "Higher," "What If" and the tender "With Arms Wide Open," written for Stapp's newborn son, from Human Clay; "My Sacrifice" and "One Last Breath" from Weathered. "Overcome" and "Rain" represent the 2009 reunion album Full Circle, so the story ends on a comeback rather than a farewell. Stapp's voice and Tremonti's guitar tone tie the whole decade together, and the radio edits keep every song tight.
A recent resurgence has brought the band back to big stages and a new generation of fans, and this is the first collection to cover all four albums. Turns out the arms were wide open the whole time; we just needed to get the record back in the racks.
