About the album

Part of the 'sad girl pop' team, a teenaged Clairo defined the bedroom-pop era with her EP Diary 001. Like many current pop icons, Clairo began by posting covers from her bedroom before finding success with a homemade music video for her song "Pretty Girl," which went on to become a viral hit. Finding her niche quickly through lo-fi pop vocals and catchy synths, Diary 001 marked the beginning of Clairo's ability to define and change the pop landscape.

"Flaming Hot Cheetos" was the first single under the Clairo name after she signed with Fader Label in 2017, and "4EVER" followed as the last one. Opener "Hello?" and "B.O.M.D." keep things hazy and intimate, and the set closes with a demo of "How," just to remind you where it all started. She took the songs on the road opening for Dua Lipa and on her own Lazy Days Tour.

The "Pretty Girl" video was filmed entirely in her bedroom in Carlisle, Massachusetts, which remains the most efficient use of a teenager's bedroom we've heard of. Ours mostly held laundry.
