About the album

Every family has its Disney song, and the arguments over which one is best can run longer than the films. This collection settles nothing and includes nearly all the contenders, played by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, the Czech ensemble best known for its film music recordings with Silva Screen. The French vinyl label Diggers Factory pressed this edition.

The modern era gets Side A, with "Let It Go," "I See the Light," "Almost There" and "Reflection." Side B moves through the 1990s renaissance ("Go the Distance," "Colors of the Wind," "You've Got a Friend in Me," "A Whole New World" and "Tale as Old as Time"), Side C dives in with "Part of Your World" and "Under the Sea" before swinging with "I Wanna Be Like You," and Side D goes back to the classics: "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious," "A Spoonful of Sugar," "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" and "When You Wish Upon a Star."

It works for a Sunday morning, a long car trip or a child's first record. Fair warning to parents; nobody in the house will stop humming for at least a week.
