About the album

Recorded in London in 1970 with producer Paul Samwell-Smith and guitarist Alun Davies, Tea for the Tillerman pairs Cat Stevens's warm, expressive voice and acoustic guitar with spare, beautiful arrangements and songs full of searching, heartfelt questions.

"Father and Son" is a moving dialogue across generations, "Wild World" is a gentle classic, "Where Do the Children Play?" is thoughtful and lovely, and "Hard Headed Woman" and "On the Road to Find Out" are gorgeous.
