![Fleet Foxes: Helplessness Blues (2LP) [SUB POP]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/33630688/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-fleet-foxes-helplessness-blues-2lp-sub-p.jpg)
Fleet Foxes' gorgeous 2011 second album Helplessness Blues on 2LP: "Helplessness Blues," "Montezuma," "Battery Kinzie" and "Grown Ocean."
Helplessness Blues was nominated for the Grammy for Best Folk Album and reached number four in the US, the band's highest chart position.
Robin Pecknold and Fleet Foxes followed their acclaimed debut with a bigger, bolder record, layering their trademark choir-like harmonies over acoustic guitars, mandolin, upright bass, flutes and booming drums. It's warm, searching and full of wonder.
The title track is a stirring, life-affirming anthem, "Montezuma" opens with breathtaking harmonies, "Battery Kinzie" gallops along joyfully, and "Grown Ocean" ends things on a euphoric high.
