![Cage the Elephant: Unpeeled (2LP) [RCA]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/33149008/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-cage-the-elephant-unpeeled-2lp-rca.jpg)
Cage the Elephant's 2017 live album Unpeeled on 2LP, stripped-down favourites with strings: "Cigarette Daydreams," "Trouble," "Cold Cold Cold" and "Whole Wide World."
Unpeeled reimagines Cage the Elephant's best songs with strings and acoustic instruments, and shows just how strong the songwriting underneath the fuzz really is.
Recorded on the band's "Live and Unpeeled" tour in cities including Los Angeles, Washington DC, Nashville and Knoxville, Unpeeled features eighteen songs from across their catalogue plus three covers, all performed with a string section and stripped-back arrangements.
"Cigarette Daydreams" and "Trouble" are lovely and warm, "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked" and "Shake Me Down" take on new life, and the covers of Wreckless Eric's "Whole Wide World," the Stranglers' "Golden Brown" and Daft Punk's "Instant Crush" are delights.
