About the album

Billie Eilish was just 13 when "Ocean Eyes," a song her brother Finneas had written for his band, went viral on SoundCloud. By the time dont smile at me came out in 2017 she'd built a devoted following, and the EP shows off everything that would soon make her a superstar: whispery vocals, moody bedroom-pop production and lyrics with a dark, funny edge.

"Ocean Eyes" is dreamy and lovely, "bellyache" is a deceptively breezy song about guilt, "idontwannabeyouanymore" is a slow, jazzy confession, and "COPYCAT" and "watch" show off her bite. Both "Ocean Eyes" and "idontwannabeyouanymore" went on to chart in the US and UK.
