![Belle and Sebastian: If You're Feeling Sinister [MATADOR]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/33629798/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-belle-and-sebastian-if-youre-feeling-sin.jpg)
Belle and Sebastian's beloved 1996 indie pop classic If You're Feeling Sinister: "The Stars of Track and Field," "Seeing Other People" and "Judy and the Dream of Horses."
If You're Feeling Sinister is regularly ranked among the best albums of the 90s, Stuart Murdoch's gentle, witty songs as charming and sharp as ever.
The Glasgow band's second album pairs Murdoch's hushed vocals and literate, bittersweet stories of misfits and dreamers with jangling guitars, trumpet, strings and Hammond organ.
"The Stars of Track and Field" is a hypnotic opener, "Seeing Other People" bounces on piano, "Me and the Major" is a harmonica-led joy, and "Judy and the Dream of Horses" is a beautiful closer.
Sinister, but very sweet.
