About the album

Produced with the Dust Brothers over two years in Los Angeles, the album swaps the frat-rap of Licensed to Ill for funk, soul, rock and jazz samples layered into dizzying, playful grooves, with Ad-Rock, Mike D and MCA trading witty rhymes.

"Shake Your Rump" bounces, "Hey Ladies" is pure funk fun, "Shadrach" rides a Sly Stone groove, "The Sounds of Science" plays with Beatles samples, and the closing "B-Boy Bouillabaisse" is a twelve-minute suite.
