About the album

Felix Buxton told Canadian magazine The Record that plenty of people at their shows didn't realize "Romeo" and "Where's Your Head At" came from the same duo. The Singles fixed that, gathering everything from "Red Alert" onward into one riotous party.

Simon Ratcliffe and Buxton never stayed in one lane. "Red Alert" and "Jump N' Shout" are house with a carnival streak, "Bingo Bango" goes Latin, "Where's Your Head At" chews up a pair of Gary Numan samples, "Romeo" is pure pop, and "Good Luck" belts it out. Two new songs, "Oh My Gosh" and "U Don't Know Me," arrived here first.

That summer they stepped in as Glastonbury headliners at short notice and played through the rain with a carnival version of "Ace of Spades." It's a fair bet no other headliner that year managed Motörhead on steel drums.
