![Vampire Weekend: Modern Vampires of the City [XL RECORDINGS]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/33632581/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-vampire-weekend-modern-vampires-of-the-c.jpg)
Vampire Weekend's Grammy-winning 2013 third album Modern Vampires of the City: "Step," "Diane Young," "Unbelievers" and "Ya Hey."
Modern Vampires of the City won the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album and is widely considered Vampire Weekend's finest record.
Co-produced by Rostam Batmanglij and Ariel Rechtshaid, Modern Vampires of the City trades some of the band's early preppy bounce for a richer, more reflective sound, with Ezra Koenig's lyrics wrestling with faith, ageing and New York life.
"Step" is warm and wistful, "Diane Young" is a pitch-shifted rockabilly rush, "Unbelievers" is pure joyous indie pop, and "Ya Hey" and "Hannah Hunt" are among the most beautiful songs they've written.
