About the album

Tove Lo named her sixth album after the biological term for an animal in heat, her way of framing a record about the mind and body wanting different things at once. She began it in late 2024 in the middle of what she called a personal metamorphosis, struggled to find words that felt true, then found her footing in a secluded Swedish village from her childhood with producer Ludvig Söderberg, with further sessions in Los Angeles and Stockholm.

Söderberg, Elvira Anderfjärd and Luka Kloser are her main collaborators. Lead single "I'm Your Girl Right?" came with a Nogari-directed video shot in São Paulo with 70 dancers, Belgian star Stromae joins her on "Des Fleurs," and the opener "A Lot of Feelings, No Solutions" takes its title from her own description of the album. Lust, jealousy and self-doubt fuel the beats, and it all comes out on her own label, Pretty Swede Records.

Beats Per Minute called it the most grown-up record she has made, and Clash rated the songwriting top class. Grown-up, in Tove Lo's case, still means you'll want the furniture pushed back.
