![Tool: Opiate [ZOO]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/33149256/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-tool-opiate-zoo.jpg)
Tool's 1992 debut EP Opiate, six raw, heavy tracks that started it all: "Opiate," "Hush," "Sweat" and "Part of Me."
Opiate is where Tool began, a punishing, groove-heavy debut with Maynard James Keenan, Adam Jones, Danny Carey and Paul D'Amour already sounding like no one else.
Recorded as a deliberately heavy introduction to the band, Opiate mixes four studio tracks with two live recordings, packed with thick, churning riffs, pounding drums and Keenan's furious, theatrical vocals.
"Hush" was the band's first single and video, "Sweat" and "Part of Me" groove hard, and the title track builds into a hypnotic, menacing epic. Essential for any Tool fan.
