About the album

Abel Tesfaye went from mysterious mixtape artist to global pop icon in a decade, and The Highlights tells the story in one sitting. It draws on House of Balloons, Beauty Behind the Madness, Starboy, My Dear Melancholy and After Hours, timed to his headline Super Bowl halftime show in 2021.

"Blinding Lights" and "Save Your Tears" are synth-pop perfection, "Can't Feel My Face" channels Michael Jackson, "Starboy" and "I Feel It Coming" team him with Daft Punk, and "The Hills," "Earned It" and "Wicked Games" show off his moody R&B roots.
