First Impressions of Earth went top five in the UK and US, and "You Only Live Once" has become one of the Strokes' most loved songs. It's their biggest, boldest-sounding record.
For their third album, the Strokes spent ten months in the studio with producer David Kahne and came out with their most ambitious record: longer songs, bigger guitars, sharper hooks and Julian Casablancas pushing his voice into new territory.
"You Only Live Once" is a sun-drenched gem, "Juicebox" has one of the meanest bass lines of the 2000s, "Heart in a Cage" and "Razorblade" are classic Strokes, and "Ask Me Anything" and "Electricityscape" show off new colours. This pressing is on hazy red vinyl.
