![The Strokes: Angles (Purple Vinyl) [RCA / LEGACY]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/60511389/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-the-strokes-angles-purple-vinyl-rca-lega.jpg)
Strokes' 2011 fourth album Angles on purple vinyl: "Under Cover of Darkness," "Machu Picchu," "Taken for a Fool" and "Life Is Simple in the Moonlight."
Angles was the Strokes' first album in five years, a bright, playful record that mixes their trademark interlocking guitars with 80s new wave sheen.
Written more collaboratively than ever, Angles finds Julian Casablancas, Albert Hammond Jr., Nick Valensi, Nikolai Fraiture and Fabrizio Moretti trading ideas across reggae-tinged grooves, synth-pop flourishes and sharp, angular rock.
"Under Cover of Darkness" is a classic Strokes rush, "Machu Picchu" bounces with funky, off-kilter guitars, "Taken for a Fool" is a catchy gem, and "Life Is Simple in the Moonlight" is a lovely closer.
