The Prodigy's breakbeat-rave debut Experience from 1992: "Charly," "Everybody in the Place," "Out of Space" and "Fire."
Experience is a rave-era landmark, Liam Howlett's hyperactive breakbeats and cheeky samples going platinum and launching one of the biggest electronic acts ever.
Few debuts capture a scene quite like this one. Liam Howlett wrote and produced it all himself, packing the UK's early-90s breakbeat hardcore sound with sped-up breaks, booming bass, cartoon samples and huge piano riffs.
"Charly" turns a public-information cat cartoon into a rave anthem, "Everybody in the Place" is pure euphoria, "Out of Space" famously samples Max Romeo's reggae classic, and "Fire" and "Your Love" go off.
It reached No. 12 in the UK and set up Music for the Jilted Generation and The Fat of the Land. Raise your hands in the air.
