![The Front Bottoms: Talon of the Hawk [BAR/NONE]](https://cdn.shoplightspeed.com/shops/621399/files/47956648/1652x1652x2/new-vinyl-the-front-bottoms-talon-of-the-hawk-bar.jpg)
Talon of the Hawk, the Front Bottoms' 2013 fan favourite of scrappy, heart-on-sleeve indie punk: "Twin Size Mattress," "Au Revoir (Adios)" and "Peach."
Talon of the Hawk is the album that made the New Jersey band cult heroes, and "Twin Size Mattress" remains one of the great singalongs in modern indie punk.
Brian Sella and Mat Uychich's New Jersey band mix acoustic strumming, punk energy and Sella's wordy, funny, confessional storytelling, and their second album is where it all clicked. The title comes partly from Deputy Hawk on Twin Peaks.
"Twin Size Mattress" is a huge, cathartic, fist-in-the-air anthem, "Au Revoir (Adios)" kicks things off with a jolt, and "Peach," "Skeleton" and "Santa Monica" are full of hooks and heart. Made to be shouted along to.
