Sprawling and bold, The 1975's 2020 album Notes on a Conditional Form on 2LP clear vinyl: "If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know)," "People," "Me & You Together Song" and "Guys."
Notes on a Conditional Form is The 1975's biggest, boldest grab bag, 22 songs leaping from punk and garage to dance music, folk and lush pop, and it topped the UK chart.
Matty Healy, George Daniel, Adam Hann and Ross MacDonald recorded much of the album in London and Los Angeles, opening with a speech by Greta Thunberg and following wherever their restless curiosity led.
"People" is a blast of furious punk, "If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know)" is shimmering 80s pop, "Me & You Together Song" is a sweet, jangly gem, "Frail State of Mind" glides on UK garage beats, and "Guys" is a heartfelt love letter to the band.
